Tours, Presentations, and Community Outreach
The Altoona Police Department provides free tours and presentations for local organizations. If you would like a member of your Altoona Police Department to do any type of public speaking on a specific topic or presentation please call 715-839-6090 ext. 4022 from 7:30 AM to 4 PM to schedule an appointment.
We participate in several community outreach events including:

Prescription Drop Off
Information:
Unused prescription medication must be disposed in a safe manner to prevent health and safety concerns. That is why the Altoona Emergency Services building hosts a prescription medication drop-off box available 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This box can be used to drop off:
- Prescription and Over-The-Counter Medications
- Medication Samples
- Patches
- Ointments
- Vitamins
- Pet Medications
