About Our Department
Department Staff
Our department provides 24/7 police services to the City of Altoona, WI. We employ sworn police officers who are responsible for enforcing criminal laws, traffic laws, and responding to calls for service. Community Service Officers (CSO's) respond to ordinance violations including parking enforcement. We also have records staff that maintain and disseminate department records.
Our Goal
To develop positive community relationships in an effort to reduce crime, increase safety, and effectively respond to emergencies.
Community Engagement
Throughout the year, members of our department host various events including National Night Out, Annual Halloween Event, Fish with a Cop, and others. We also attend various city events to provide security and interact with our community.
